I have recently built my own home after buying a plot with approved planning. I made a number of changes and went back to planning to get the changes approved.
Once all changes were agreed I put the base in and erected the timber frame. I didn’t put up the internal walls though as I wanted to get a feel for how the house would feel, and I would advise anyone to do the same. We were able to make quite a few changes, and make the house feel like our dream home.
